hi!! i’m Mr Dhsoe, the webmaster of camera modders. welcome to my tiny corner of the web ♥
this site is all about modding digital cameras, firmware hacks, hardware mods, LLM mods, everything under the sun — from beloved silver point-and-shoots, chunky DSLR classics to more modern cameras I load weird firmware on them and write it all down here.
i love ccd cameras
If it has a ccd and retro look I have a soft spot in my heart from it
the bench
- a JIS screwdriver set (please don’t use phillips on japanese screws)
- a cheap temperature-controlled soldering iron
- an LLM like Claude
- a shoebox of donor cameras, sorted by “maybe” and “definitely dead”
about this site
camera modders is hand-made, ad-free and updated whenever something interesting comes off the bench. there’s a small shop for my firmware mods and guides!
